Life, gratitude, and travel
It’s crazy how I am in a different time zone again. Kansas, USA to Switzerland. Phew what a trip. I’m always super grateful when I finally make it home. After some chaos and cancelations I made it back safe and sound. Reunited with my husband and fur babies.
It’s 5 am here and i finally made it over to the couch. It’s dark but city lights seep through the window shades. One of my dogs snoring off to my the right and every now and then I hear a snore coming from our bedroom, the hubsaroo.
Often, when I fly. I get so lost starring off into the clouds and my mind goes into pondering mode and as I sit in this quite space I can’t help to think back to those more than just moments.
Isn’t it beautiful when we can cherish moment to moment? How we feel. What comes to mind. Where we are in the world. Where we are in our life. The quick pace of life slows down. We get to focus. To truly enjoy life?
I live for these moments where everything almost stops and all you hear are these faint noises in the back ground and your thoughts. I love it!
One thought, of many, as I sat on the plane gleaming of gratitude, was the perspective and practice of mindfulness and gratitude.
How you can quickly, not always easily, shift your energy.
For me personally, I’ve found myself doing it in times of stillness but also during times of distress. Those anxiety ridden moments. Those times of uncertainty. Where fear wants to kick in. Where the blood pressure and stress rises.
The positive self talk and self compassion along with mindfulness and gratitude can shift everything.
This has been a practice of my for a long time and it’s not always easy but when you stop and not only pay attention, life is staring right back at you. Sometimes with a message and other times it’s that precious, precious moments of pure tranquility and joy.
Soak in the good experience. Be kind to yourself. Choose gratitude. Don’t forget to slow down and take in those precious moments of, just being.
Living.
Breathing.
You are not, alone in this world.
